Newcastle Loan Report: Armstrong Bags A Brace And Woodman Earns A Start
3. Freddie Woodman (Crawley Town)
A senior debut arrived for Freddie Woodman on Saturday as the 18-year-old stopper lined up in goal for Crawley Town in their opening day League Two fixture at Oxford United's Kassam Stadium. Although he was unable to keep a clean sheet in the 1-1 draw, Woodman did make a couple of excellent saves - most notably from Kemar Roofe's late effort - in order to earn the visitors a point. Gwion Edwards had given Crawley a 56th-minute lead before Danny Hylton slotted past Woodman for Oxford's equaliser. Handed Crawley's No 1 shirt this season, Woodman looks like he is going to play plenty of minutes throughout this campaign.
