Newcastle Transfers: 10 Dream Goalscoring Options Pardew Musn't Ignore

With a gap to be filled in the goalscoring department at St James' Park, we look at 10 options for Alan Pardew.

Despite having already signed Ayoze Perez and Siem de Jong this summer, Newcastle United could be in the market for yet another goalscorer before the transfer window is out, according to the Chronicle. Loic Remy has returned to parent club Queens Park Rangers following a stint on loan at St James€™ Park last season, Yohan Cabaye has left for Paris Saint-Germain while veteran forward Shola Ameobi has been released from his contract after 14 years at the club, and that could all leave Pardew with a gap to plug in the goalscoring department. The Magpies had a topsy-turvy campaign in 2013-14, finishing mid-table. They were notably destabilised following the January departure of Cabaye to PSG, suffering heavy defeats to the likes of Chelsea, Spurs, Everton and worst of all Tyne-Wear derby rivals Sunderland in the second half of the campaign, and will be looking to bounce back in 2014-15. To do so, they may need a new striker, and with just less than a month to go until the summer transfer window clangs shut until the winter, we could see another finisher join the Toon over the coming weeks. Already a lot of names have been linked with a switch to the north east club and here, we take a look at 10 Goalscorers Pardew Should Be Looking At.
