Probably the most controversial on the list but wait to hear the reasoning behind it.
There’s no denying that the Arsenal forward hasn’t hit the heights expected of him when Arsene Wenger signed him in 2011. But to be fair to Campbell, until his recent loan spell at Villarreal last season, he has shown promise at every club he has played for.
Unable to obtain a work permit to play in England, by the time Campbell made his Arsenal debut he had been loaned out to FC Lorient, Real Betis and Olympiacos, where he scored eight goals in 32 appearances.
The most-impressive period of his career came at the 2014 World Cup where he wreaked havoc on defenders, including England, which led to a host of clubs showing interest in signing the Costa Rican.
If Newcastle were to keep hold of Papiss Cisse, there are other positions that need strengthening before another striker comes in. Why not bring Campbell in on loan - alongside another winger - and see how he fares in the Premier League.
Plus, he’s still better than Gouffran, even if Campbell isn't an out-and-out winger.
