After helping Leicester City gain promotion from the Championship in 2014, Riyad Mahrez proved he could make the step up to the Premier League last year.

Having signed from Le Havre in January 2014 for just £350,000, Mahrez was an integral part of the Foxes team that pulled off the great escape last season, scoring four goals. Four goals might not be a lot for a winger, but that would have put him joint-fourth in Newcastle’s list of scorers last season.
