Newcastle Transfers: 5 Strikers Pardew Must Sign To Save The Summer

3. Brown Ideye

brown ideye An option not discussed for a good month now but still apparently on Newcastle€™s radar is Dynamo Kiev striker Brown Ideye. We all know Newcastle look for value and younger players and he fits the bill. Ideye is just 24 years old, a good few years younger than other targets and could fit in well at the club. Not the tallest, Ideye is still good in the air and has good feet and pace about him. His goalscoring record is strong managing 29 in 55 games for Kiev in the league since he joined in 2011 and the experience of a full international should never be sniffed at. Back in May the Daily Mail reported a fee of £9 million would be enough, which would be a great price, especially in todays market and the huge sums that are sometime put together for strikers. Ideye could be the perfect balance with the big strong Gomis or even making runs to allow for the space to open up for the likes of Cisse or Cisse. There is interest from elsewhere in the Premier League so if Newcastle do attempt a move, other clubs could look to jump in.
