TEAMtalk, via Spanish outlet Murca, are reporting that Sporting Lisbon striker Bas Dost is willing to force through a move to the Premier League this summer by offering to rip up his contract with the Portuguese club.

The forward, who has netted a stunning 61 goals in 61 games for Sporting since moving from Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg in 2016, is a transfer target for both Everton and Newcastle. It's the latter who are most heavily-linked with pursuing Dost, but La Liga side Sevilla are also showing some interest.

Dost was recently attacked by a group claiming to be Sporting Lisbon supporters at the club's training ground, and that's apparently the final straw for him in Portugal. The 29-year old hitman has two years left on his current deal with Sporting though, and that may be a massive hurdle for any deal.

The forward's scoring rate speaks for itself. If Newcastle can push this one through, then they'll be getting a prolific striker who has rarely, if ever, had a frustrating spell in front of goal. He's the kind of quality player Rafa Benítez would surely love at St. James' Park.
