Newcastle Transfers: Which 3 Strikers Are On Pardew's Wishlist To Replace Demba Ba?

2. Modibo Maiga

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vkhyLUET1c Should Newcastle's move for Loic Remy fall through, Alan Pardew has reportedly lined up West Ham United's Modibo Maiga. West Ham would likely welcome any offer for Maiga as Sam Allardyce cannot buy reinforcements unless he sells. Big Sam has had his eye on the likes of Nicolas Anelka, Gael Givet, Stephen Warnock and Maynor Figueroa and could use the transfer money from Maiga to land one of these targets. The 25 year old nearly joined Newcastle a year ago but failed a medical, but Alan Pardew could be tempted to try again for a player who has scored 4 times in fifteen appearances so far. Signing Maiga from West Ham would be rather ironic when you consider Newcastle originally bought Demba Ba from the same side a year ago. Source(s): Daily Mail
