http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2mqDjfR3Qqw Another target for Alan Pardew is thought to be St Etienne striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and a recent report suggested Newcastle were set to beat Aston Villa for the Frenchman's signature. Aubameyang is in fine form, he has scored 8 goals in 12 appearances for the Lige 1 outfit this season, and was even more prolific last season when he managed 18 strikes in 38 appearances. The Gabon international is said to be quite versatile and can operate as a winger as well as a forward, and St Etienne would likely ask for around £10 million for his services - not bad at all when you consider he is only 23. But Pardew could still face stiff competition from Paul Lambert and Aston Villa as they remain in the market for the striker. Source(s):
