With the Newcastle defence shaky at the best of times, the return of the Taylor-Coloccini pairing didn't fill the Toon Army faithful with much confidence when they were ripped apart by the Chelsea frontline, so the youngster's swift return is something the fans praying for. He was a mainstay in the starting XI until he hobbled off with an ankle injury earlier in the month at Goodison Park and if he recovers in time it is likely he'll be back in the heart of the defence next time out against Stoke. After all, as the song goes, he is a class defender.
