Newcastle United PREDICTED XI (And Score) Vs Man Utd

13. Swansea City Vs Newcastle United €“ Our Writers€™ Score Predictions

The games are simply not getting any easier for Steve McClaren, and it looks like things will get worse before they get ant better for the Magpies. Wayne Rooney is bound to end his scoring drought against a Newcastle side low on confidence defensively - he will probably grab two - while Memphis will have a field day due to the lack of Daryl Janmaat in the Toon side due to suspension. Aleksandar Mitrovic could well grab his first NUFC goal on a quick counter attack, but it will be a case of damage limitation once more for Newcastle.

Prediction: Manchester United 3-1 Newcastle United

Unfortunately Newcastle United are without Daryl Janmaat and Moussa Sissoko. Now, even if the pair had been included in Steve McClaren's squad the Magpies would have struggled against Manchester United's well-oiled defensive unit. Memphis will be up against either Chancel Mbemba or Vurnon Anita which will be about as competitive as me playing tennis against Roger Federer and Steven Taylor versus Wayne Rooney will be a blessing for the England Captain. Nine games without a goal certainly won't expand to ten.

Prediction: Manchester United 3-0 Newcastle United

Wayne Rooney will return to form. Of course he will. Nine league games without a goal? That doesn€™t matter - The Red Devils€™ captain couldn€™t have picked a better opposition for him to get back into form. Rooney has scored 12 goals against Newcastle - he will probably have 15 by the end of play on Saturday. How many times will BT Sport show that volley from 2005? Urgh.

Prediction: Manchester United 4-0 Newcastle United
