21. Geordie John's Quote Of The Season Award

Chris Winner: "Mike (Williamson) has been fantastic in training this week". There's been some belters from Carver, but when he declared that he'd patched things up with Williamson having accused the centre-back of being "deliberately" sent off against Leicester City, he also said Iron Mike had "been fantastic in training". What does that mean exactly? That planes flying over head didn't have to veer dangerously to one side to avoid one of the centre-back's botched clearances? Because if it's defending well, then he rarely transferred that form on to the pitch during actual matches this season... Ross' Winner: "Guys". There are a whole host of contenders for this but just the way he works "guys" into every interview. It is the least Geordie phrase ever - yet Geordie John knows how to get it into every soundbite. It is seriously annoying.
