Newcastle United's 11 Top Premier League Goal Scorers

11. Michael Owen - 26

The former Liverpool striker might not be a universally beloved figure now that he's left the club, thanks to the amount of money he cost in fees and wages - and his casual lack of acknowledgement that we deserved better - but he still almost made it into the top 10 Newcastle scorers. Having signed for a massive £16.8 million from Real Madrid, he scored his first goal - after a false start thanks to injury, surprise, surprise - against Blackburn in September, and hit a perfect hat-trick in a 4-2 win over West Ham in December. And while he spent way too long injured, including during the relegation season that he basically checked out of mid-way through, his goals did at least take some pressure off Alan Shearer in his final season. Best Goal: He scored no real peaches as he had for England and Liverpool, but that third goal in the West Ham hat-trick had everyone excitement. Sadly, it was all too rare a thing.
