7. Everton 3-1 Newcastle United (11/05/08) - LOST
Newcastle's struggles continued throughout the 2007-08 campaign and, after Sam Allardyce was sacked in January, Kevin Keegan returned to the Magpies hotseat. However, Keegan could only guide Newcastle to a 13th-placed finish and the campaign finished miserably as the Magpies were beaten 3-1 at Everton. A brace for Yakubu, including a penalty, and a Joleon Lescott goal gave Everton the victory, with Michael Owen's spot-kick Newcastle's one bright moment.
