It's amazing to think that Newcastle were undefeated in their opening four final-day Premier League matches - and it wasn't until they succumbed to Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park in 1998 that they lost one. Chris Sutton, Alan Shearer's former strike partner, grabbed an 88th-minute winner to condemn the Magpies so defeat. Newcastle finished 13th, just four points clear of 18th-placed Bolton Wanderers, in 1997-98.
