1. Newcastle Lose And Hull Win - Tigers And Black Cats Survive But Magpies Are Relegated (By One Point)
Newcastle United lose to West Ham United Hull City beat Manchester United Sunderland's results at Arsenal and Chelsea are irrelevant Outcome: Hull survive, Sunderland also stay up, Newcastle are relegated (by one point) It was a finishing tally of 34 points that saw Newcastle drop out of the Premier League in 2008-09 - when they finished a solitary point behind Hull City. That one-point gap to the Tigers could become a reality once more in 2014-15 - and the Magpies could be relegated by finishing on 36 points while Hull City end on 37. Déjà vu is certainly not what the Toon faithful want to experience, but if they lose to West Ham - which is a likelihood given they have been defeated in nine out of their last 10 outings - then Hull City can beat Manchester United and finish on 37 points, one ahead of Newcastle. Again Sunderland's results are irrelevant, because the Magpies already have a point less then their North-East rivals, and Sam Allardyce would be able to watch his former employers drop into the Championship.
