Newcastle's Premier League Run-In - Every Eventuality For Magpies, Sunderland And Hull

11. Newcastle Win, Hull Win And Sunderland Lose Both Games - Magpies Survive (By Two Points) As Do The Tigers But Sunderland Are Relegated

Newcastle United beat West Ham United Hull City beat Manchester United Sunderland lose at both Arsenal and Chelsea Outcome: Newcastle survive (by two points), Hull also stay up, Sunderland are relegated Again, as has been said, a victory for Newcastle against West Ham guarantees their Premier League future - so in theory it is all in the Magpies' hands. A victory for the Magpies does not necessarily mean Hull go down, however, as if Sunderland lose both their matches at Arsenal and Chelsea then they could still be susceptible. The Black Cats would be relegated on goal difference if they lose both their games while Newcastle and Hull win their final fixtures. Tense, to say the least. Newcastle would finish two points above both Hull and Sunderland, but the Black Cats' inferior goal difference would see them drop ahead of the Tigers.
