Newcastle's Top-10 Summer Striking Targets Ranked By Goals-Per-Game Ratio

3. Demba Ba - 0.48 (147 in 307)

2014-15 GOALSCORING RATIO: 0.61 (27 GOALS IN 44 GAMES) Now we reach the top three - and it's a familiar face in Demba Ba who comes in third. The former Magpies forward has netted an impressive 147 goals in 307 career games for Rouen, Mouscron, 1899 Hoffenheim, West Ham United, Newcastle, Chelsea and his current club Besiktas. That return of an average of 0.48 goals per match is extremely impressive in itself - and yet Ba bettered that in 2014-15. To date, the 19-cap Senegal international has scored 27 goals for Bestikas in just 44 matches, a return of a 0.61 strikes per game. Could a swap deal for the 30-year-old and his Senegalese strike partner Papiss Cisse be on the cards?
