2014-15 GOALSCORING RATIO: 0.55 (20 GOALS IN 36 GAMES) The most-heavily-linked forward right now, Newcastle are keen to beat Borussia Dortmund to the £9 million signing of Wolfsburg striker Bas Dost. The 26-year-old two-cap Holland international has scored a total of 114 goals in 247 games for FC Emmen, Heracles Almelo, SC Heerenveen and Vfl Wolfsburg - a return of 0.46 strikes per game throughout his career. Interestingly, Dost also bettered that during the 2014-15 campaign in Germany and returned an identical ratio to Mitrovic (an average of 0.55 goals per match) after netting 20 times in 36 appearances last season. Dost's mobility is certainly a concern but he would offer a big, physical presence up front - he is 6ft 5in and accomplished in the air - and his goalscoring return is impressive.
