No. 1: Kansas City Chiefs
The pick: Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M Joeckel has been on the Kansas City radar for months now and has been expected to be the first pick for some time now. With the status of Brandon Albert up in the air for 2013 (he'll likely get traded), the Chiefs still have a pressing need for a left tackle to protect newly acquired starting quarterback Alex Smith. Some feel that Joeckel compares to Joe Thomas of the Cleveland Browns, who has become one of the NFL's premier offensive lineman for his tough and gritty play. Joeckel looks like he's cut from the same cloth; big, tough, strong and pounds people into the ground. With this being the first draft under Andy Reid's tenure, expect Joeckel to be the first pick taken under his watch.
