No. 3: Oakland Raiders
The pick: Sharrif Floyd, DT, Florida It's been a while since the Oakland Raiders had a first round pick, mostly because they traded a few of them to land Carson Palmer, who will be the Arizona Cardinals starting quarterback next season. The Raiders are operating under new management since the passing of long-time owner Al Davis. General manager Reggie McKenzie has been working very hard to change the culture of an organization that has been to the playoffs since 2002. Oakland will likely look to draft defense and look for a premier pass rusher that can fill up the middle, which is why Sharrif Floyd fits the bill. Floyd draws comparisons to Geno Atkins of the Cincinnati Bengals and if he can be anything similar to Atkins, then Oakland will be getting a potential game changer in the middle of their defensive line. The days of draft busts like JaMarcus Russell and Darrius Heyward-Bey are gone for this franchise. Floyd should be a step in the right direction for Oakland.
