NFL Draft 2020: 13 Biggest Picks You NEED To Know
4. Guard - Damien Lewis
Round 3: Pick 5
Guards are not the most fun picks and don't tend to shake up the offense nor get the fans in a frenzy. But as any analyst will say, football is won in the trenches.
The Seattle Seahawks are in the midst of an O-line shakeup, they released last year's interior starters DJ Fluker and Justin Britt along with tackles Germain Ifedi and George Fant. Bringing back starting left guard Mike Iupati still leaves Seattle with a hole at right guard.
Enter Damien Lewis out of LSU. Coming off a championship season, Lewis was the second guard taken in the 2020 draft. A little on the shorter side, Lewis should still factor in as a good fit for the Seahawks grinding run game. Lewis is known as a mauler who will need to improve upon his pass blocking skills, especially as Russell Wilson is one of the most important quarterbacks in the game.
