NFL Draft 2020: 13 Biggest Picks You NEED To Know

3. Center - Lloyd Cushenberry III

Round 3: Pick 19

Centers are not sexy picks, and rarely are late round centers something to generate content about. Cushenberry was not even the first center off the board, however we could see him making a greater impact in his first season.

The New Orleans Saints picked the first center of the weekend with Cesar Ruiz at pick #24. Ruiz has a chance to be great, however he will be buried on the depth chart behind starter Erik McCoy and two probowl guards. Matt Hennessey picked five spots ahead of Cushenberry will also sit behind a probowl veteran in Atlanta.

This leaves us with Lloyd Cushenberry, a multi-year starter for NCAA champions LSU. He will have a chance to step in as a starter right away for the Denver Broncos. A massive youth movement has taken place on the Bronco offense, and so Cush' will need to contribute immediately with a line-up consisting of fellow 2010 draftmates WRs Jerry Jeudy & KJ Hamler. He'll also be lining up next to last year's draft picks TE Noah Fant & OT Dalton Risner while protecting 2nd year QB Drew Lock.

Currently Denver doesn't have a single offensive player older than 29, so plugging in Cushenberry Week 1 makes him one of the most important third rounders in this draft.
