11. Buffalo Bills (2013 Record: 6-10)
The Bills have been to more Super Bowls than almost everyone on this list. The only problem is that they lost all of them. In a row. From 1990 to 1993, the Bills went 49-15, winning three divisional titles and four conference titles in the process, but once they went onto the big stage of the Super Bowl, they just couldn't "Circle the Wagons" and get it done. Buffalo made the postseason four more times in the 90's, but have yet to repeat their success in the new millennium, with their last playoff win coming in 1995. I think I was less than a month old. Fast forward to 2013, and the Bills have hit a wall, going 6-10 the past three seasons. First round pick E.J. Manuel isn't having the success he was hoping to, plagued by interceptions and injuries all season long, but Buffalo has been able to find success elsewhere with three pro bowlers headlining the Bills front four. Kyle Williams, Mario Williams, and Marcell Dareus have stepped into the spotlight as some of the most underrated Defensive Lineman in the league, combining for 31.0 sacks in 2013. A lot of questions still remain however: Can the Bills finally get past 6-10 with EJ Manuel, or will they need to look elsewhere in the 2014 draft? How will Dareus and Running Back CJ Spiller play on the final year of their contracts? Will All-Pro Safety Jarius Byrd re-sign? 2013 left us asking too much about the Buffalo Bills, which makes me concerned if they'll succeed in 2014. Odds of making Super Bowl XLIX: 3% 10. Minnesota Vikings (2013 Record: 5-10-1)
Like the Bills, the Minnesota Vikings have made the Super Bowl numerous times, only to fall short on each occasion. Hall of Fame Coach Bud Grant led the Vikings to four Super Bowls in the 1970's, but Minnesota has yet to make it back onto the big stage. They came close on several occasions, making the NFC Conference Championship game five times since 1977. Now in 2013, the Vikes have hit another rough patch after a 5-10-1 finish this season. They still have former MVP Adrian Peterson locked up until 2017, but they could lose longtime defensive threat Jared Allen to Free Agency, along with current Starting Quarterback Matt Cassel. New Head Coach Mike Zimmer and new Offensive Coordinator Norv Turner were perfect hires for Minnesota, but the NFC North is slowly becoming a two-horse race each year. The Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears have won the division 10 times over the past 12 years, and barring a dramatic resurgence from the Vikings or Detroit Lions, it'll stay that way for years to come. Odds of making Super Bowl XLIX: 4%
