1. Wenger Made Suspect Tactical Decisions
Podolski had a relatively quiet game, but he at least wasn't as atrocious as the ineffective Gervinho. Podolski is both a better finisher and a harder worker than Gervinho, so the Ox should have been substituted in for Gervinho, and either Coquelin or Wilshere should have been used instead of the vastly inexperienced Gnabry. You simply don't put out a 17 year old on the field when the team is chasing a game with 10 minutes to go. There's a time and place for experiments, and Saturday's game surely wasn't one because Arsenal walked out empty handed in a game that we easily should have won. Also, Wenger should think about resting Santi Carzola, because he is bound to crash and burn if he does not get some rest. His importance to the team cannot be underestimated, but nobody wants to see Carzola pick up an injury or suffer a dip in form because he was overworked. He has set the Premier League alight with his passing abilities, but Arsenal should make sure that he does not follow David Silva into a state of fatigue induced mediocrity.
