Norwich City Transfers: 5 Wingers To Replace Anthony Pilkington

3. Darlington Nagbe (Portland Timbers)

If Chris Hughton fancies taking a late transfer window gamble then Portland Timbers€™ Darlighton Nagbe might be the player to go for, if he feels he can adapt from the MLS to the Premier League. It€™s fair to say that Pilkington is known more for scoring goals than setting them up, and it€™s a similar story with Liberian winger Nagbe. The player is still only 23, and is certainly making waves with his form in the United States. I would think that it€™s also fair to say that he wouldn€™t cost a lot, and there may be the possibility of bringing him in on loan initially for further assessment. During the previous MLS season, he was amongst the leading scorers in the league with 10 from his 38 games. Further stats from the player included 1.7 shots, 1.4 key passes and 2 dribbles per match; he also provided three assists and an average rating of 7.13. However, it€™s worth noting that the MLS season isn€™t current on-going so match fitness is likely to be an issue if Hughton is looking for someone to hit the ground running.
