7th. Everton
It is going to be a strange season for Everton. After 11 years of David Moyes they have a new manager, Roberto Martinez. Not only do they need to adapt to a new manager, they also need to adapt to a whole new style of play. After 11 year of one style, a change will take time to come to fruition. Not only that, there are still some questions marks over Roberto Martinez. Martinez won the FA Cup last season, Wigans first major trophy ever. But his league record with Wigan was never great and they were down the bottom fighting against relegation for his three years in charge. Not only that, both Paul Jewell and Steve Bruce achieved higher finishes in the Premier League with Wigan than Roberto Martinez. For those reasons, I see Everton finishing below Merseyside-rivals Liverpool for the first time in two years. There are doubts over two of Evertons top players, Leighton Baines and Marouane Fellaini. I think Baines will stay but Fellaini could well follow Moyes to Manchester United. I dont necessarily think that would be such a bad thing for Everton. Fellaini is a great player but doesnt really fit into Martinezs style of play. Everton are always a bit more direct when Fellaini is in the team. So if Everton could get £25 million for Fellaini that could well help them this season. Everton dont have too much money to spend so getting £25 million for someone who doesnt fit in with their style of play would allow them to buy 2-3 good players who do, which may help the transition of Moyes to Martinez. Key player: Leighton Baines Transfers in so far:
