Predicting All 12 UFC Champions One Year From Now
11. Women's Flyweight Champion - Valentina Shevchenko
The Women's Flyweight division (125lb) is the UFC's newest division. Its current - and only - champion is Nicco Montano, who defeated Roxanne Modafferi in the finale of The Ultimate Fighter 26 to become the inaugural Champ.
Montano is talented no doubt, but her first real test in a UFC Octagon will be against Valentina Shevchenko. That potential fight is, as per MMAFighting.com, set to be announced for UFC On Fox on 28 July. That is undoubtedly the next fight but whether it happens later this month remains to be seen. When it does happen though, there is only one winner.
Shevchenko had a good run in the Bantamweight division, defeating Julianna Peña, Holly Holm, and Germaine de Randamie, but lost twice to the dominant Champion Amanda Nunes. Following the second loss, Shevchenko joined the new Flyweight division and beat the brakes off of Priscila Cachoeira, landing 230 strikes to Cachoeira's 3. And that is exactly what will happen to Nicco Montano, whenever she steps in the octagon against the Bullet.
