Predicting All 12 UFC Champions One Year From Now

8. Flyweight Champion - Demetrius Johnson

There has never been a more dominant champion in UFC history than Demetrius Johnson. The pound-for-pound best fighter in the world has wiped the floor with everyone who has stepped in front of him. His last victory was over Ray Borg at UFC 216, which he won with a mind-blowing suplex-into-armbar submission.

Johnson hasn't lost in seven years, and never at the Flyweight level. His next fight is against Henry Cejudo in August, and it's fair to say nobody is expecting an upset here, seeing as Johnson already beat Cejudo in the first round of a fight at UFC 197. This seems like a straightforward win for Johnson, the real question is, where does he go from there?

Johnson doesn't have much competition at Flyweight, unless he fights Sergio Pettis or, down the line, Matheus Nicolau. However, neither of those chaps are really threats to his throne. The true possibility for Johnson is to face the winner of TJ Dillishaw vs. Cody Garbrandt at UFC 227. Yep, another super fight is the most likely scenario for UFC with these two divisions, for better or worse.
