Predicting England's World Cup Squad
5. Jamie Vardy
Jamie Vardy has been having a party ever since his record breaking year in 2016. Leicester City defied the odds to win the Premier League, Vardy broke Ruud Van Nistelrooy's record for goals scored in consecutive games, and the former Fleetwood Town player solidified his status as an England regular.
While he has not since been able to reach the heights of his 2015/16 season, Vardy has still put in solid performances, scoring 13 league goals in 2016/17, and an even more impressive 20 goals in 2017/18.
While his chances of starting any games in Russia are low while a certain Tottenham striker is fit and healthy, the 2016 Premier League Player of the Year would make a fantastic impact player, bringing his pace off the bench to devestate a tired opposing defence.
