Raheem Sterling is coming off the back of what is without a doubt his best Premier League season yet. While helping Manchester City to the league title, amassing an incredible 100 points, the 23 year old scored 18 league goals in the 2017/18 season, and 23 in all competitions, eclipsing his tally for the previous two campaigns combined.

Sterling's pace and new found finishing ability will be a useful tool for Gareth Southgate to employ in Russia, despite the former Liverpool man finding the net just twice in his 37 previous international appearances.

A seat on the plane is almost a certainty for Raheem Sterling, but a starting spot is far from guaranteed. There will be intense competition to be part of the starting front three, with his biggest rivals coming from the red side of Manchester.
