Premier League: 10 Best Transfer Bargains of 2012

10. Michu (Swansea, £2 million)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLXWzsBfO3E&feature=plcp Not bad for his weaker foot. I still can't believe he only cost £2 million. With 5 goals already, he's given the performance of a player that should cost ten times that. I can think of many more expensive transfers that haven't paid off anywhere near as much as he has (Torres and Carroll, roll up, roll up). Perhaps it's because he doesn't have the pressure of a huge price tag weighing over him, but whatever it is, it's working. The only worry for Swansea could be other, and with respect bigger, Premier League clubs looking at him come the end of the season, and as they've shown already with Joe Allen and Scott Sinclair, who were both integral to success last year, every player has his price. If he's started as he means to go on though, the Welsh club would be well within their right to ask for £20 million. And knowing Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City, they'd probably get it as well. Rating: 10/10 So far, the best transfer of the summer.
