6. Brede Hangeland
The Fulham man has been a stern figure in the heart of their defence since his move to the Premier League in 2008 - making almost 200 appearances. He is the current captain but there appears to be no plans for him to stay beyond the end of the season. The last we heard was back in October, when his agent confirmed that no agreement had yet been reached. Having been tipped for a move to Arsenal in recent years, it's possible that there will be a few clubs interested in attaining his services, either in the Premiership or abroad. But in reality, Fulham should really be doing all that they can to keep Hangeland at the club. As well as being an inspirational figure, there defensive problems have been well documented at times this season, and to lose a player like this would be a huge blow. Even if he hasn't hit the heights he was reaching a couple of years ago, he's still only 31 and can provide the experience Fulham need when they get themselves into bad patches. I'm sure Jol would love to keep a hold of him and, if a deal can be agreed, I'm sure he'll be happy to stay. But if not, a club at a similar or slightly-higher level could benefit greatly from Fulham's loss.
