5. Nigel De Jong - Man City to AC Milan
After playing a big role in City's climb to the top of the English game, the Dutch anchor agreed a three-year contract at the San Siro early on the morning of Deadline Day.
A statement on the official club website said: "The arrival of De Jong gives a precise profile to the teams engine room, the lungs of the side: the midfield." The 27-year-old is powerful opponent, a brave tackler and not one for holding back (see the Xabi Alonso incident at the 2010 World Cup). After getting rid of some big names this summer, AC fans will be happy to see the club bring in someone of De Jong's ability. An established international for the Netherlands, De Jong was one of the first players to start City's 'rich era' under Mark Hughes. He was later joined by a full roster of stars as Roberto Mancini was allowed to spend money at will. With so many players to please, and only eleven spaces to fill each week De Jong drifted in and out of contention last season. In Milan it is expected that he will feature a lot more and
