Premier League: 10 Important Deadline Day Transfers

4. Scott Sinclair - Swansea to Manchester City

Sinclair spent six years climbing through the youth ranks at Bristol Rovers before sealing a dream move to Chelsea in 2005. Following years of seasonal loan contracts at Plymouth, QPR, Charlton and others, he settled at Swansea City in 2010. Now, the forward has made another big leap forward in his career by signing for English champions Manchester City. He'll take the No.11 shirt at his new club and is very excited to play in sky blue from now on. Speaking to the club's website he said: "Playing alongside some of the best players in the world is exciting for me and when you see two Champions League fixtures against Real Madrid on the horizon, it brings it all home." The BBC reported on Deadline Day that: "The Welsh club rejected an initial bid of £6.2m for the winger but the Premier League champions included add-ons, taking the fee to £8m." That fee goes to Swansea in exchange for a very talented young footballer. And Sinclair, who played in the Great Britain squad at the London 2012 Olympics, has already scored a goal this season. He netted his first for Swansea in their 5-0 demolition of QPR on the opening day of the Premier League.
