Premier League: 10 Transfers That Could Still Happen Before The Window Shuts

2. Julian Draxler To Arsenal, £37 million

Arsenal spent £44 million on Mesut Ozil last summer and may have to pay a similarly-hefty price if they want to land Julian Draxler from Schalke this month. The Bundesliga side are believed to want £37 million for the highly-rated 20-year-old midfielder though Arsenal are holding out for £25 million. The stereotypically-frugal Arsene Wenger has balked at the German's asking price and is trying to talk them down to a more affordable fee. The Frenchman may yet throw Lukas Podolski into the mix to tempt Schalke into doing business for less, which could make all the difference in negotiations. The Gunners have plenty of attacking options in midfield with Santi Cazorla, Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey vying for places, though Draxler is considered one of the hottest-young properties in Europe and the opportunity to land a future star may be too tempting to resist for Wenger.
