Premier League: 10 Transfers That Could Still Happen Before The Window Shuts
3. Diego Costa To Chelsea, £32 million
Chelsea have reached a 'verbal agreement' with Atletico Madrid for Diego Costa to sign for £32 million at the end of the season, according to the Metro. Costa has been in sensational form for Atletico this season with his 20 league goals in 21 appearances helping his side up to second in La Liga, above Real Madrid and level on points with Barcelona. As such he has appeared on the radars of numerous European clubs, though Chelsea appear to have the upper-hand if reports they have agreed a fee with Atletico prove accurate. Costa is not expected to arrive at Stamford Bridge this month though could sign a pre-contract agreement to join for a whopping £32 million at the end of the season after the Blues met his buy-out clause. Chelsea are in need of a new striker with their current forwards struggling. Samuel Eto'o, Fernando Torres and Demba Ba have only scored 11 league goals between them this season.
