Premier League: 10 Transfers That Could Still Happen Before The Window Shuts

10. Aston Villa To Sign Joleon Lescott, Loan

Manchester City's out-of-favour centre-back Joleon Lescott could be on his way out of the Etihad as Aston Villa line up a loan move, according to the Mirror. Lescott has struggled to break into the City first team in recent times and hasn't played a single minute of Premier League football this year, with Vincent Kompany and Martín Demichelis above him in the pecking order. And that could open up a move to Villa, who Birmingham-born Lescott grew up supporting before going on to play for midlands rivals Wolves. The England defender is out of contract this summer and has been told by City he is free to leave, while Fulham are also chasing his signature. Villa would consider Lescott's capture - even temporarily - a coup given the experience he will bring to Paul Lambert's side.
