Premier League: 10 Transfers That Could Still Happen Before The Window Shuts

9. Man Utd To Sign Fabio Coentrao, Loan

Manchester United attempted to secure a loan move for Fabio Coentrao last summer only for the move to dramatically collapse - a recurring theme for the champions during a dreadful window. But the Real Madrid left-back is keen on reviving the move and may yet arrive at Old Trafford on a temporary basis with a view of joining permanently for £14 million at the end of the season. The Portuguese fullback is wanted as a long-term replacement for Patrice Evra who is into the final six months of his contract at United and could move back to former club Monaco in the summer. The Red Devils are keen on Coentrao but have been put off by Madrid's asking price. The Spanish giants want £20 million for Coentrao to join permanently following his proposed loan spell but United are only willing to offer £14m.
