Final League Finish: Runners Up

Despite a managerial circus last campaign, whereby Watford appointed four different managers over the course of the season, The Hornets still managed to finish in the automatic promotion places.

Watford stayed in and around the promotion places for the entire season, then when the season entered its final embers, the London club pounced at their chance of automatic promotion and guaranteed their Premier League status with a 2-0 win away at Brighton.

Despite blowing their chances of winning the Championship title when surrendering a 1-0 lead to Sheffield Wednesday, Watford will still be delighted with a runners-up spot meaning they can have a go at the big boys once more after a ten year absence.
