1. Manchester City
It is a good time to be a Manchester City fan. Champion's of England for the first time in 44 years, having local bragging rights after completing a league double over Manchester United including the 6-1 win at Old Trafford and coming from behind on the last day of the season with two injury time goals to snatch the title from the man who once labelled them "noisy neighbours". Roberto Mancini may have been publicly berating his Director of Football recently for the lack of activity in the transfer market but as far as I'm concerned they wrapped up two of the most important signatures when he and club captain Vincent Kompany signed contract extensions. They had the strongest squad going into last season and I believe they have the strongest squad coming into this season too. In Aguero and Tevez they have a blossoming partnership that guarantees goals, in Yaya Toure they have the most dynamic and powerful midfielder in the league, Kompany and Lescott are a formidable pairing at the back and Joe Hart is the best Goalkeeper in the league. They could do with some fringe signings, a left back if they lose Kolarov, a creative passer in midfield and a pacey wide man to stretch opposing defences. So far it is just Jack Rodwell that has arrived at Eastlands and that signing seems to be only for the home grown contingent they need to fulfil. He will struggle to get into the first team may have to wait a while before getting his chance. Mancini will want more signings of course but even if they don't I see them winning the league by a double digit margin. First Three Games: Southampton (H), Liverpool (A), QPR (H)
