Premier League 2012/13: Top 10 Transfers Of The Summer (So Far...)

4. Santi Cazorla to Arsenal - £16.5 Million

Santi Cazorla is the Samir Nasri replacement Arsenal needed last season to mount a serious title challenge. Once Nasri had left as well as Fabregas, they lacked a real play maker in the attacking third, as I would class Mikel Arteta as more of a deep lying play maker. Debt ridden Villareal had to sell Cazorla to Malaga in 2011 and he proved very successful there helping guide the club to the Champions League. However, Malaga have since come into hard financial times themselves and have been forced to sell their prized asset. Against Sunderland on his debut, Cazorla made, statistically, the best debut of any Arsenal player in a long time, so it has not taken him long to settle into the team. With Cazorla on one wing and Walcott on the other, expect the perfect combination of flair and pace.
