Premier League 2012/13: Top 10 Transfers Of The Summer (So Far...)

3. Shinji Kagawa to Manchester United - £17 Million

This is an excellent deal for Manchester United both on and off the pitch. Kagawa is arguably the most popular player in the far Eastern market at the moment and with the departure of Park Ji-Sung, it was a wise business investment as well as an on field investment to make the move for Kagawa by Manchester United. But on the pitch the man from Japan is exceptionally talented. Named Bundesliga player of the year guiding Borussia Dortmund to the title last year, Kagawa is the attacking player United craved for long periods last season. When Sir Alex Ferguson realised moving Rooney into the number 10 spot was not the answer, he knew he had to raid the market for a an advanced play maker and Kagawa is the answer. His touch, movement, vision and passing abilities are all second to none and with him behind a strike force of Rooney and Van Persie this season, expect nothing but goals from the men from Stretford.
