Premier League 2017/18: Every Home Kit Ranked
9. Leicester
You can learn a lot from a kit launch. Generally, this is limited to separating players with the best model-worthy gurn from those a petrified thousand-yard stare of an escaped hostage. Richard Keogh's seen stuff, man...
Sometimes, it's a little more substantial. Take Leicester's for example: the club has foregone the usual 'stern current player' montage for a simple shot of the shirt, suggesting they aren't exactly confident of holding onto their star players. Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy would be conspicuous by their absence in any publicity shot released without them - and you can't sell a kit with players who later abandon the club. (Though you can do another photo session.)
Idle transfer speculation aside, Leicester's new kit is not far removed from last year's. The gold trim of the past four seasons returns, this time in form of Puma's dreadful shoulder-bubbles. Gold would have been perfect to celebrate the Foxes' unexpected Premier League victory last season, but they somewhat jumped the gun on that. Otherwise, standard.
