Premier League 2018: 10 Promoted Players To Watch Next Season
5. Junior Hoilett (Cardiff)
Once considered one of the Premier League's hottest young talents during his time with Blackburn, Canadian winger Junior Hoilett is finally getting another chance to prove himself in the top flight after several years spent bouncing up and down the top two tiers of English football.
He was part of QPR's big summer spending back in 2012 as the club tried to push their way up the Premier League table, but ended up getting relegated. Hoilett's efforts helped Rangers back into the top flight one season later, but they got relegated all over again after that.
His career seemed to be stagnating until last season when he was one of Cardiff City's most impressive players, scoring 9 goals and assisting 11 more as one of the Welsh club's biggest threats. Often employed on the left wing, Hoilett has been sparingly used in central and right wing roles as well, consistently impressing with precise through balls, powerful long shots, and dangerous set pieces.
At the age of 28, this coming season is undoubtedly a huge one for Hoilett, who will finally want to live up to his potential and prove why he was so highly rated in his Blackburn days. As the first weekend of matches draws closer, the Canadian has got to be one of the most motivated promoted players of all.
