Premier League 2018: 10 Promoted Players To Watch Next Season

3. Tom Cairney (Fulham)

Scottish international Tom Cairney made his professional debut in the Premier League back in January of 2010, appearing for Hull City a few more times before the season ended in relegation for the club.

From there, Cairney spent eight seasons in the second division before finally getting a chance to take another stab at the top flight. Nominated for the EFL Championship Player of the Season award, it was Cairney who netted the only goal against Aston Villa in the play-off final to secure promotion for his side and write his name into Fulham's footballing history books.

Providing 6 goals and 5 assists over the course of the season. Cairney always seemed to show up in the big games when Fulham needed him most, finishing the season very strongly and ending up with a 91.5% pass success rate.

A great all-rounder, Cairney creates a lot of chances for his teammates and often acts as the catalyst for Fulham's attacking moves, as well as chipping in defensively as and when he is needed. The defensive side of his game may need a little improvement in the Premier League, but alongside Fulham's new record signing Jean Michael Seri, Cairney could play a big part in what looks to be a very strong midfield.
