Wolves won the Championship with more style and technical mastery than many of their predecessors. The English second division isn't known for beautiful football, but Wolves were simply gorgeous to watch for large parts of last season and are hoping to bring their Iberian flair into the Premier League.

Led by former Porto boss Nuno Espírito Santo and with a handy injection of cash from Chinese owners, Wolves enjoyed a whirlwind season after a crazy transfer window that saw them bring in a whole host of new players, with £15.8m man Rúben Neves and Diogo Jota standing out as two of the best performers in the Championship last season.

From there, the team only lost seven league games, scoring 82 times and letting in 39 goals for the best attack and best defence in the Championship. With a well-balanced squad featuring great passers all around the pitch, Wolves stood out as one of the most exciting teams the Championship had hosted for several years.

The West Midlands club play an attacking, fast-paced brand of football, with wing backs that push far up the pitch to overwhelm opponents and create chance after chance, with the technical wizardry and cool finishing of Diogo Jota key to the Wanderers' success.

Wolves have done good business once again this summer, tying down some of their loan stars to full contracts and adding experienced Portuguese internationals Joao Moutinho and Rui Patricio to their ranks.

They look very, very strong and it's no surprise they're being ranked as the top promoted team to watch this season, but there still have to be some doubts about their chances. It's likely that Wolves will stay up and could even push into a respectable place in the Premier League table, but the top flight provides a different challenge to the Championship and Wolves might need to adjust their strategy in certain matches or risk being overrun by the Premier League's top teams.
