Premier League: 5 Deadline Day Transfers That Could Happen

4. Peter Odemwingie To QPR

There's no question of whether he wants to leave. Odemwingie has chosen the rather unsavoury route of asking for a transfer, and has faced a backlash from a minority of angry Baggies fans; perhaps rightly so. Because he is a footballer, QPR have taken note, and have made him top priority of their attempts to try and sign every player ever. If the media are to believed, QPR have already made two bids, and have had both swiftly rejected. While this could be because West Brom don't want to sell, it could just be that they believe a reported offer of only £2 million to be far below what they consider an acceptable amount of money. The Baggies have told Odemwingie that he will not be allowed to leave, but that hasn't deterred QPR so far, and surely won't deter them again as the transfer deadline gets ever closer. It also hasn't stopped the player from writing several angry tweets, for which he could face sanction from his club. Either way, it looks like Odemwingie wants out by hook or by crook, and it's unlikely QPR won't stump up the cash for him.
