Barring disaster, its a virtual shoo-in that Diego Costa will be one of the top marksmen in the Premier League this season. Chelseas £32 million signing has already plundered four goals in three outings and seems custom-built for the physical demands of English football. Brazil-born Costa arrived at Atlético Madrid in 2007 after a brief spell in Portugal but struggled to establish himself at his new club. Loan spells at Celta de Vigo and Albacete Balompié followed, and Costa was sold to Real Valladolid in 2009. However, Atlético exercised a buy-back option to bring Costa back to the Colchoneros a year later, but the player found it difficult to displace world-class forwards like Diego Forlán and Sergio Agüero and once again found himself loaned out. He scored ten goals in his time at Rayo Vallecano and started to serve notice of his talent at Atlético in 2012-13, but it was the 2013-14 season that would see him break through in style. With the departure of Radamel Falcao to big-spending Monaco, Costa assumed the mantle of being Atlético Madrids number one striker and thrived on the pressure, firing in 36 goals in all competitions and helping the club to an unlikely La Liga triumph. He has fitted seamlessly into Jose Mourinhos new-look team and seems to have already forged a connection with fellow newcomer Cesc Fàbregas. Costa will almost certainly be suspended for a few games he already has two (rather harsh) yellow cards to his name but he should more than make up for it with a formidable goal tally.
I watch movies and I watch sport. I also watch movies about sport, and if there were a sport about movies I'd watch that too. The internet was the closest thing I could find.
