Premier League: Predicting 11 Top Scorers 2014/15

5. Romelu Lukaku

When Romelu Lukaku joined Chelsea from Anderlecht in 2011, he did so with a heavy burden on his shoulders; long-touted as €˜the next Didier Drogba€™, the Belgian forward was always going to have difficulty matching up to the prodigious Ivorian whom the Stamford Bridge faithful regard as one of the best players in their club€™s history. Nevertheless, he would never have dreamed that in three years as a Chelsea player he would only feature on 15 occasions and fail to score a single goal for his new club. In part a victim of Roman Abramovich€™s managerial merry-go-round, Lukaku was farmed out to West Bromwich Albion for the 2012-13 season and racked up 17 goals, but it was not enough to earn the faith of Jose Mourinho when he began his second spell in charge of the club in June 2013. The Belgian was again sent out on loan, this time to Everton, and again he impressed with 15 league goals and one more in the FA Cup. Still, despite an obvious weakness in Chelsea€™s forward ranks Mourinho decided against retaining his services, and the striker made his move to Everton permanent at the end of July. Lukaku is still raw and his decision making often leaves something to be desired, but the big Belgian is obviously content at Goodison Park and with the guidance of Roberto Martinez in the coming season he should go some way to repaying Everton€™s substantial £28 million investment.

I watch movies and I watch sport. I also watch movies about sport, and if there were a sport about movies I'd watch that too. The internet was the closest thing I could find.
