Winston Reid may not necessarily be the most well-known, high-profile defender in the Premier League at the moment, but he has definitely been one of the standout centre-backs over the last few months. The 26-year-old New Zealand international has played in every game so far for West Ham, and is a big reason for their superb start to the campaign. The Hammers have been extremely hard to break down, with Reid superb throughout. He was terrific in the home wins against Liverpool and Manchester City- he scored the opener in the 3-1 win against Brendan Rodgers' side- leading from the back and playing with an authority that has made many sit up and take notice. Reid is being strongly linked with a move to Arsenal in the near future, and on the evidence of his performances so far this season, he would be a great addition at the Emirates. At 26, he should only get better over the next three or four years.
